The king cobra is the world’s longest venomous snake, mostly found in the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Southern China. Its venom may result in a rapid fatality - as soon as 30 mins after a bite if antivenom is not administered promptly. King cobras are also a threatened species, and are fortunately protected in many countries, such as China, Vietnam, India, and the Philippines.
